Near the spa, only one kilometer away, is the magical Bocskai Street, where you can combine sightseeing with a pleasant walk and the discovery of the local museum, which presents the region's cultural treasures with a rich selection.

The István Bocskai Museum, which opened in 1958, was established by Dr. Imre Juhász, a history teacher at a local high school, who started collecting the museum's first objects in 1957 together with his students. The initiative quickly grew into a city of importance.

The current exhibitions invite visitors to an interactive museum adventure, where they can see a lot of things during the historical exhibitions, from the relics of the spa culture to trying on the clothes and weapons of the Hajduks.

On June 26, 2021, on the Night of the Museums, the newest attraction of the István Bocskai Museum, the Princely Treasury, which preserves the memory of István Bocskai, was presented. The Transylvanian prince was famous for installing the Hajduk in Szoboszló and for leading the only successful Hungarian war of independence.

In this new exhibition, authentic copies of Bocskai's crown and scepter can be seen in the museum's new 200 square meter wing.
